Building on personal branding to turn enquirers into customers for Wendy Dignan

When you’re a one-person business, it can be tempting to think you still need to present a corporate face to the outside world. But could you develop a closer connection to your target audience through strong personal branding instead?

When psychotherapist Wendy Dignan approached us for a new website and branding, she had one overriding goal: the new site had to convert enquirers into customers. And she recognised that strong personal branding on the site would be the best way to achieve this.

With a range of celebrity clients plus media credits covering everything from the Daily Telegraph to Cheshire Housewives, Wendy had very clear ideas about what she wanted and gave us plenty of inspiration. Where Wendy’s old site had been traditional and corporate in style, the site we designed and built for her is bold, high-impact, and sales-focused.

Wendy’s new site works for two reasons. First, because we designed all elements of the site to work towards the goal of persuading visitors to book a consultation. Secondly – and crucially – because we built the design around delivering a personal message from Wendy and showing her as a human being that people will relate to.

The success of the site is a great reminder that if your business is all about you, then there’s a good chance that your website should reflect your personal brand rather than a corporate one.

Boosting enquiries for cyber security firm Prism Infosec

Better targeting, more effective SEO and a boost in enquiries – that was the challenge we rose to when cyber security firm Prism Infosec asked us to create a new business-to-business website for their services.

We’ve provided website services for Prism Infosec since the firm started as a one-man band. Now operating from two offices, their range of services has grown increasingly complex over the years. We worked with the team to understand both their services and their customers, and to break down the offer into a set of specific services and service categories that match what the target audience are likely to be searching for. We then created a design with the services as the focus.

Result: a clean, professional website and brand that attracts the right people and gets them to the information they need quickly.

It’s a great example of a project that shows good website design is about so much more than simply visual appearance.

Targeting a niche market with an SEO-friendly website for technology firm Anari

If you provide a product or service with low search volume but high value sales, it’s vital that your website targets the right people. Our site for aviation technology firm Anari is now hard at work doing just that.

The firm had made the decision to consolidate their service around a single area (yield maximisation). This meant they needed a new website that would focus on bringing in accurately targeted enquiries.

So before developing the site, we spent time researching SEO requirements, finding out what potential customers might search for, and what information they needed. We then optimised every element of the site for SEO (even the diagrams are search engine friendly!). And our careful planning made sure there was no drop in search engine rankings as Anari transitioned from the old site to the new.

The project shows how powerful a truly targeted approach can be – people searching for what Anari offer find the site easily, and Anari are confident each enquiry from the site is likely to be a genuine lead.

Engaging parents with a bespoke website for award-winning nursery Scamps

Working on a replacement website for the award-winning Scamps day nursery was a joy – the team had very clear ideas about what they wanted, and commissioned a completely bespoke WordPress site as the best way to achieve their goals.

This meant we were free from any theme restrictions, and could design a completely unique look and feel for the new site. Incorporating Scamps existing branding, we created a modern, distinctive site that brought the team’s ideas together and turned their vision into reality.

The site is now up and running and working exactly as the team hoped, differentiating Scamps from competitors and providing an engaging site experience that persuades parents to make contact.

New multifunctional and easy-to-update site for East Cheshire Hospice

Our new website for East Cheshire Hospice is up and running. Flexible and easy-to-update, the site replaces an older website that was taking up far too much of the team’s time.

The new WordPress site incorporates a wide variety of functions to support the hospice team’s multiple online activities. These functions include online donations, an events diary with online booking and payment, and an e-commerce shop. Each combines a quick and user-friendly customer journey with time-saving simple set-up screens and streamlined behind-the-scenes processes. Integration with the hospice’s Raisers Edge fundraising system provides a further boost to productivity.

This has been such a worthwhile project to work on – and it’s fantastic to know that the committed hospice team now have exactly the right tools for the job.

A refreshed website plus bespoke integrations for car audio firm Bass Face

Our smart new look for global car audio firm Bass Face’s website has just gone live. Bass
Face is a longstanding customer, so it was great to be asked to take on the refresh project.
What’s particularly interesting about this site though is what’s going on behind the scenes.
To save the team time and boost sales, we introduced a suite of integrated processes that
mean product listings and data are automatically updated from internal stock systems.
Our favourite is the real-time PDF catalogue creation software: whenever a visitor clicks on
the brochure link, the system automatically generates an up-to-date brochure. No human
effort required!

There are also plenty of customer-focused sales features including instant page refresh
when a customer changes their search criteria and an interactive map showing their nearest
distributor. And behind the scenes, we set up a secure distributor portal for distributor
orders and more.

Bass Face are recognised as innovators, and we’re looking forward to continuing to support
them with new ideas to help drive the business forward.

A new website front-end for amazing charity East Cheshire Hospice

Having just launched their new brand, East Cheshire Hospice asked us to help them develop a new website design.

We kicked this off by working with the charity to understand the most popular pages on the site. Based upon our findings, we devised a new sitemap and built the website navigation to make certain the site was as easy to use as possible. This ensured it was quick to make a donation and that all key information was only one click away.
